Releasing tomorrow at noon.
I received a notification from my editor this morning that the book will be officially published and monetized tomorrow.
Normally, at only 130,000 words, launching is a bit early. However, the military fiction channel is different; the traffic is quite small, so the promotional cycle runs through very quickly. We have to launch as soon as possible; otherwise, without subscription data, it becomes extremely difficult to secure major recommendations.
So far, my collection count is just over three thousand. Fortunately, the collection-to-follow ratio is decent, or it would be very hard to find the persistence to keep writing.
My original intention in writing this fan fiction was to hone my writing style. I have always wanted to write an original military novel, but I felt my writing ability wasn't quite there yet, so I decided to test the waters with fan fiction first.
As those of you who read the first twenty or thirty chapters can probably tell, they felt a bit hollow, but I started adjusting and improving afterward. Therefore, I sincerely hope that friends who have added this book to your collections will give me your support. The chapters ahead will only become more and more exciting.
Of course, I know some of you might feel certain elements are unreasonable—I feel the same way. But this is fan fiction, which inherently restricts my ability to write with strict realism. Besides, strictly realistic military stories are very easily banned, and not many people actually read pure realism anyway because it tends to be too dry. For the most part, this book will follow the plot of the television series, though I will be adding plenty of my own original content into it.
Naturally, there is no need to worry that I am simply plagiarizing the show. I have my own train of thought, and the protagonist's character arc is carefully planned out. Please feel completely at ease while reading.
As for the launch, I deeply hope my fellow readers can grant me your first subscriptions, as this will determine the quality of the recommendations I receive hereafter.
A first subscription only costs a few cents, but it means the world to my support system. I want to take this opportunity to thank every single reader who has supported my book—those who have tipped, voted with monthly tickets and recommendation votes, and contributed your reading retention and collections. Thank you all for your backing.
Tomorrow at 12:00 noon, the book will be officially launched right on time.
Didn't you all ask for massive updates? As long as the subscriptions are high, releasing massive chapters is not a problem at all.
Today's 4,000 words will still be updated tonight as usual.
Begging for subscriptions! Begging for subscriptions! Begging for subscriptions!
