“Sixteenth minute without the streamer—missing her…”
“Seventeenth minute without the streamer—still missing her…”
“Eighteenth minute without the streamer—wait, the stream is back alive!”
“Really! There’s an image again!”
“Achievement unlocked: Stream banned once every day. Current progress (4/4)!”
“That’s true! Since Teacher Ling started streaming, this darn stream gets banned once every single day. It’s truly an oddity in the streaming world!”
“Enough of that! Didn’t you all notice the streaming environment suddenly changed? It’s still a jungle, but it feels way denser than before, doesn’t it?”
“And the scenery looks strangely familiar! I feel like I’ve seen this place somewhere!”
“Seen it? Have you been to the Warcraft rainforest?”
“I have! I remember now—this is the place we visited when we discovered the so-called World Tree! Except that the tree is gone now, so it looks a bit different.”
“Now that you mention it, it really is the same place! So why have we come back here? I’m utterly confused!”
“Who cares why we’re back? The focus is on that big cat right in the center of the screen! So white! So adorable!”
“Yes, yes! Especially those little boots on its feet—they’re unbelievably cute!”

“Cute? More like reckless to the point of madness.”
“Agreed with the one above. Reckless is even a kind word. Honestly, I’d say you’re just plain stupid!”
“According to continental Warcraft knowledge: generally, natural beasts above level six possess the ability to express ideas; only those above level seven can speak human language clearly!”
“In other words, this cat we’re seeing is very likely a bona fide level seven beast!”
“...”

Catherine squinted, noticing that the three of them had been teleported not far from the black-robed figures. They were definitely within sight, yet the others hadn’t noticed them, likely due to the “Aura Concealment” skill her master had used earlier. Realizing this calmed her anxious heart, allowing her finally to study the strange white cat leisurely.

Once she set her eyes on it, she found she couldn’t look away.

This was a pure snow-white cat. Judging by its large head, it appeared to be a Garfield breed—short limbs and a fluffy tail confirmed this. Yet, unlike ordinary Garfields, this one walked upright on its two hind legs, chest out and head held high.

On its feet were two handmade red leather boots, rustic in style but worn from long use. The cat clearly treasured these boots; despite their age, they bore no dirt. Above the boots, the two legs were clad in loose, short denim trousers, secured at the waist with a genuine leather belt fastened by a loop buckle. Its upper body was bare except for a snakeskin pouch slung over its back, the mouth tied with a red cord that hung around its neck. On its head sat an outdated cowboy hat. Its expression bore the usual Garfield seriousness, but the longer one looked, the more that solemnity seemed oddly comical.

A snakeskin pouch, red boots, a talking cat, the Marquis of Carabas…

Almost simultaneously, Catherine and the viewers in the comment stream realized that this figure was none other than the famously cunning “Puss in Boots” from childhood fairy tales. But that was a fairy tale creature—could it really exist?

She tugged on Ling Mo’s pants, hoping her master would explain, but Ling Mo turned and said simply:
“Don’t ask yet. Just watch the show.”

No sooner had Ling Mo spoken than the scene before them changed again. Hearing the warning from the booted cat, the four black-robed men exchanged glances but said nothing. One of them, skilled in fire magic, flicked his sleeve, and from within came a thunderous roar like a magic crystal cannon firing!

Boom!

Something too fast to track shot straight out from the black-robed man’s sleeve, hurtling directly toward the white cat! Having heard that sound before, Catherine immediately recognized it—the unmistakable noise of “Crystalline Water Spore” being launched! These black-robed men had been hiding these mushrooms as weapons on their person?

Despite the sudden attack, the white cat showed no fear. Its red-booted feet moved swiftly, as if dancing, elegantly dodging the blast with a graceful step. It spun lightly, stopping just at the edge of the explosion, unscathed and with not a single hair disturbed.

“Friend, my patience has limits. Don’t mistake my kindness for weakness, or I’ll have to use my pouch…”

After evading the attack, the cat spoke to the four black-robed men in its peculiar tone, trying to reason with them. But clearly, negotiation was useless. Before it could finish, the black-robed men unleashed another barrage of blasts!

They all raised their sleeves at once, unleashing a relentless volley of roaring blasts. Countless “Crystalline Water Spores” were activated, raining down on the white cat. Remarkably, their coordination was flawless—though the fire was dense, it was perfectly orderly, creating the effect of a rapid-fire machine gun from single-shot cannons.

Yet none of it had any effect. The Puss in Boots danced through the storm of fire—dodging, shifting, spinning, and leaping with elegance. Occasionally it paused to strike a dashing pose, basking in its own charm. If one looked closely, they’d see it was performing a solo waltz at ten times normal speed while evading the attacks.

The whistling of the “cannonballs” became its music, and the booming cannonfire its drumbeat. As the last roar faded, the cat’s magnificent performance reached its climax: a backward step, a side-step chase, a ninety-degree turn to the right side, it plucked its hat off with a paw, bowed slightly, and blew a flying kiss in Catherine’s direction.

“!!!”

Catherine gasped. Was it coincidence, or had this magical cat already noticed her? Just as she hesitated whether to greet the cat, another roar sounded!

The white cat was struck by an unknown projectile mid-bow, flying headfirst into a nearby large tree. Its hat was flung far away, and the entire cat collapsed like a rag doll, sliding softly down the trunk.
