Chapter 34: Far Too Unrestrained
Nanshan High School was renowned far and wide. Besides local students from Yongcheng City, many students from other regions, even from other provinces, flocked here to study. Being so far from home, they could only reside in the school dormitories.
Fortunately, as the leading private high school in Yongcheng City, Nanshan High not only boasted a graceful environment and rigorous educational standards, but also offered high-quality student accommodations.
Guided by Mo Ke, Li Sicheng soon arrived at the girls’ dormitory building.
The dormitory stood at the foot of South Mountain. To its right sprawled a lush ginkgo grove. When the autumn winds grew sharp, golden ginkgo leaves would drift down in great waves, tinting the sky and earth with a mesmerizing gold.
Each autumn, photography enthusiasts flocked here to capture the scenery. Likewise, couples or those nursing tender affections would act out scenes straight from youthful romance dramas beneath the swirling leaves.
To the left of the dormitory, the Shiting River surged past. Its murmuring waters, shrouded in mist, lent an ancient charm to the surroundings.
“This place is wonderful,” Li Sicheng remarked, surveying the area with approval. “Backed by green hills, flanked by clear waters, and encircled by woods. Living here not only benefits one’s health, but also soothes the mind, easing the fatigue and pressure brought by studies.”
Mo Ke nodded in agreement. “Our dorm’s location really is the best among all schools. Even the nearby universities can’t compare. Honestly, since moving in, I don’t feel as exhausted from studying as I used to… Enough sightseeing—come on, let’s go upstairs and get you out of those clothes!”
To anyone unaware of the circumstances, her words could easily be misunderstood.
At that moment, aside from Mo Ke and Li Sicheng, other students were nearby the dorm entrance. Hearing Mo Ke, they froze in collective shock, sneaking glances at the pair and whispering among themselves.
Someone gasped, “Did I hear that right? That girl is urging a guy to go upstairs and undress? What’s going on here?”
Another marveled, “I always thought men were the impatient ones, but it seems women can be just as bold! But at this hour, there are surely other people inside. Aren’t they afraid of putting on a live show?”
Yet another, green with envy, fumed, “Ugh, flaunting their affection right in front of us single folks—how shameless! Someone call in the great FFF squad and burn these show-offs to ashes!”
Mo Ke, the unwitting instigator, had no idea her casual remark had sparked so many misunderstandings.
She was now explaining to the dorm supervisor, “Auntie Zhang, I accidentally spilled food on this student in the cafeteria. I wanted to bring him back to wash his jacket…”
Mo Ke had always had a good relationship with the dorm supervisor. So, though bringing a boy into the girls’ dorm technically broke the rules, the supervisor simply waved them through. “Take him in, but once the jacket’s clean he needs to leave. This is a girls’ dorm—having a boy hanging around just won’t do!”
“Yes, yes, I understand. I’ll send him out immediately after,” Mo Ke promised, nodding her thanks before dragging the still-curious Li Sicheng upstairs.
She failed to notice Li Sicheng muttering quietly, “The location is nice, but it’s a bit heavy with yin energy. If this were a boys’ dorm, it might actually help curb youthful restlessness. But girls are already yin by nature—living in a place like this, problems could arise if they’re not careful… No, I must mention this to Muxue when I get home tonight!”
Mo Ke’s dorm was on the fourth floor, room 415.
As she led Li Sicheng inside, they found a girl in the midst of undressing for a nap. Though she wasn’t completely naked—her bra and underwear still on—being seen like this by a boy was mortifying.
The girl froze in shock, as if rooted to the spot.
Li Sicheng was equally stunned. He had no interest in appreciating the rare sight before him; instead, he wore a pained expression and muttered, “Great, just great. Am I in for trouble again?”
Trouble? Anyone else would call this a stroke of luck—an eyeful of beauty, and he still calls it misfortune? What could possibly go wrong, unless he believed he’d get a stye from this?
Hearing his mutterings, Mo Ke finally snapped out of her daze. She glared at him, then quickly pushed him out of the room, her cheeks flushed. “Wait here, and don’t wander off,” she ordered, disappearing into the dorm and closing the door behind her. Who knew what she might be saying to the girl inside.
A few minutes later, the door opened again.
By then, the girl had hastily donned her clothes, though she kept her head lowered in embarrassment, muttering complaints at Mo Ke. “You silly girl, bringing a boy into the dorm without warning—I’m so humiliated!”
Mo Ke slipped an arm around her, grinning. “Alright, alright, it’s my fault this time. Forgive me, won’t you, Zhao Ya?”
She then leaned in to whisper, “Besides, you weren’t completely naked—you still had your underwear on. Just pretend you were at the pool in a swimsuit.”
“Pfft, as if underwear is the same as a swimsuit!” Zhao Ya retorted, blushing and rolling her eyes.
After a few more words, Mo Ke turned to Li Sicheng. “Alright, classmate, take off your jacket—I’ll wash it right away. Oil stains are hard to remove if you let them set.”
A snicker sounded. Zhao Ya couldn’t help but tease, “Mo Ke, other couples call each other honey or oppa, but you call your boyfriend ‘classmate’? Isn’t that a bit old-fashioned?”
Mo Ke’s cheeks flushed a lovely red as she waved her hands in denial. “No, no, you’re mistaken. He’s not my boyfriend. Um… by the way, what’s your name?”
Only now did she realize she didn’t even know Li Sicheng’s name.
Zhao Ya was dumbfounded by the exchange. What was going on? She didn’t even know his name, yet brought him into the dorm? Since when had Mo Ke become so bold?
