Looking at the peerless aura emanating from Chen Xing, both Nuwa and Xiao Yao felt a sweetness bloom in their hearts. Yet Nuwa still voiced her concern: “Without the Chaos Pearl, how can little sister Xiao Yao ever achieve the path of a Great Sage?”

Before Chen Xing could answer, Xiao Yao shook her head and replied, “Sister Nuwa, I truly don’t need it. As long as I’m with my brother, whether I become a sage or not doesn’t matter to me.” Then, she turned and offered Chen Xing a sweet smile. “After all, my brother will always protect me, won’t you? Brother?”

Gazing into her clear eyes, Chen Xing nodded firmly. “Of course. No one can ever harm my little Yao!” His voice was resolute and unwavering.

Hearing her words, Nuwa sighed inwardly and did not press the matter further. She knew that cultivation had never truly occupied a place in Xiao Yao’s heart—Chen Xing was her entire world, and for him, she would do anything. Then, with a wry smile, Nuwa realized she was no different herself.

“But then, Brother Chen Xing, how do you intend to restore the Chaos Pearl?” Nuwa suddenly asked, curiosity piqued. She herself had once tried to repair the pearl, but with only a quasi-sage’s cultivation, she’d found it impossible and had been forced to abandon the attempt.

Chen Xing smiled, releasing both women’s hands as the three sat back down on the sofa.

“It’s not so difficult, really, though it’ll require some preparation—and the help of a friend,” he replied lightly, though in his heart, he was already anticipating their astonishment upon meeting that person.

“A friend?” The two women exchanged puzzled glances. Nuwa ventured, “Are you speaking of Fellow Daoist Hongjun?” But Chen Xing shook his head.

This left them even more bewildered. In all of the Primordial Wilds, those whom Chen Xing could call friends were few indeed. Aside from those on the island, only Hongjun was close to him. If not Hongjun, then who?

Because Chen Xing had completely sealed the Heart of Hongmeng, and his Dao heart was not yet whole, he was unable to unseal his original body. Now, with only quasi-sage cultivation—even though he wielded a sage’s power—it was impossible for him to restore a Chaos Supreme Treasure.

Moreover, after repairing the Chaos Pearl, he wished to open a small space within it, where his family from Earth could dwell. Only that person would be able to accomplish such a feat.

Of course, he wasn’t planning to create an entire world inside the pearl—if so, he would have simply asked Nuwa to do it. But for this precise, delicate task of opening a small, independent space, Nuwa’s current abilities were insufficient.

“All right, no more guessing. I’ll take you to meet this person—then you’ll know,” Chen Xing said, rising to his feet.

He stepped forward, took both women’s hands in his own, and in a flash, the three of them vanished from Fangzhang Island.

Beyond the boundary of the Primordial World, amidst the chaos, three figures suddenly appeared—a man and two women, suspended in the void, surrounded by swirling chaotic energy. Above each woman’s head floated a white lotus of over a yard in diameter, radiating pure, flawless light that enveloped them both—it was Xiao Yao’s Twelfth-Grade Purifying White Lotus.

Given that the two women were only quasi-sages, they could not traverse the chaos unassisted. Chen Xing had no choice but to have Xiao Yao summon her white lotus for protection, which put his mind at ease. As for himself, he needed no such precaution.

No sooner had the three emerged beyond the world’s barrier than a tall, burly figure appeared before them. As the newcomer prepared to greet them, Chen Xing quickly sent him a transmission.

The man was none other than Pangu, whom Chen Xing had rescued years ago. Now, with his cultivation at the level of a Great Dao Sage, he had naturally deduced the trio’s purpose in seeking him out amidst the chaos and hurried to greet Chen Xing with the respect he was due.

Yet before he could utter a word, Chen Xing’s transmission reached his ears, instructing him not to address him as “Father God,” lest Chen Xing’s identity be revealed.

Receiving the message, Pangu paused for a moment, understanding instantly. He glanced at the two women and realized these must be the companions of the Father God. Not daring to show disrespect, he stepped forward and saluted, saying, “Greetings, Fellow Daoist Chen Xing, and greetings to you both.”

Nuwa and Xiao Yao, visiting chaos for the first time, were looking around with curiosity. Suddenly, a burly figure appeared and saluted them. Recognizing that this must be the friend Chen Xing had mentioned, they quickly returned the greeting. “Nuwa (Bai Xiaoyao) bows to the fellow Daoist!”

Chen Xing himself did not return the salute. Though he had instructed Pangu not to call him Father God, he did not bow in return. Throughout the Primordial Wilds, Chen Xing was happy to pay respects to anyone, for he cared little about such formalities—but not to Pangu. After all, when Pangu’s body had become the myriad things of the Primordial World, Chen Xing had used his own Dao, the purple aura of Hongmeng, to remold Pangu’s new form. Now, Pangu could truly be considered Chen Xing’s descendant. How could an elder ever bow to the younger?

Once the formalities were over, Chen Xing smiled at Pangu. “It’s been many years. Your cultivation has become steady—a cause for celebration indeed!”

Pangu replied respectfully, “It was only thanks to your aid, Daoist friend, that I survived in those days.”

Turning to the two women, Chen Xing asked with a smile, “Do you know who this fellow Daoist is?”

They shook their heads. Xiao Yao, curiosity brimming, asked, “Who is he? And how does he cultivate in the chaos?”

At that, Nuwa suddenly started, her voice trembling. “Could this fellow Daoist be... could he be…”

Seeing her expression, Chen Xing was startled. Did Nuwa recognize Pangu? Impossible! All living beings in the Primordial Wilds believed Pangu had perished. How could Nuwa know otherwise? He had never told her.

Before Chen Xing could voice his doubts, Nuwa continued, “Could this fellow Daoist have attained the fruit of sagehood? Only then could one cultivate in the chaos.”

Chen Xing nearly rolled his eyes. So that was it—she merely guessed Pangu was a sage, not his true identity. He had been puzzled by her reaction, but now it made sense.

Chen Xing himself was unconcerned, but Nuwa’s words startled Xiao Yao. She stared in wonder at Pangu. “Is it so easy to become a sage? I thought my brother was the only sage.”

Pangu, overhearing their remarks, felt somewhat awkward. He was indeed a sage, but before Chen Xing, what did that amount to? Was it really worth such astonishment?

Yet, recalling Chen Xing’s instructions, he understood that his true identity had not been revealed to the two women. With a silent sigh, he glanced at Chen Xing, a trace of plaintiveness slipping into his gaze.

Looking at the burly Pangu, who now regarded him with something like aggrieved affection, Chen Xing shivered, goosebumps appearing all over. Why was this formidable man looking at him like that? It was too much for Chen Xing to bear.

Unable to tolerate it, Chen Xing quickly introduced him to the two women. “You certainly know his name.”

They were both taken aback. That couldn’t be—apart from Chen Xing, they knew no other sages.

Pangu, seeing this, stepped forward with a resigned expression and bowed. “I am Pangu. Greetings to you both!”

“Pangu the Great?”

“Pangu? Didn’t he perish after creating the heavens?”

The two women were utterly shocked. It was the legendary Pangu! How could this be?

Pangu smiled and turned to Chen Xing, offering a slight salute. “Back then, I was fortunate enough to be saved by Fellow Daoist Chen Xing.”

The two women were even more astonished. Chen Xing… Chen Xing had actually saved Pangu the Great! It was simply unbelievable.

Paying no heed to their shock, Chen Xing chuckled softly and said to Pangu, “I’ve come to trouble you with a request.”

Pangu was surprised. “With your transcendent cultivation, what could you possibly need my help for?”

Chen Xing shook his head and explained, “Due to certain circumstances, my cultivation is currently sealed at the quasi-sage level. This task requires one at the level of a Great Dao Sage—so I’ve come to you.”

Pangu asked no further, simply nodded. “Whatever you command, I dare not refuse!”

With a turn of his hand, Chen Xing produced the Chaos Pearl.

Seeing the orb, Pangu exclaimed in astonishment, “The Chaos Pearl?”
