Chapter 123: What Is Your Objective?
“I... I don’t even know if I can say this!” Qilin was bewildered, unable to understand why Teacher Jess was so serious.
In contrast, the students who had also joined the Super God Academy seemed quite interested in her.
However, Qilin found it strange—were the students in the Super God Academy limited to just these few present?
Jess pondered for a moment, somewhat understanding Qilin’s concern, and decided not to press further.
“When you meet the person who taught you sword flight again, be sure to tell him and see if he can report your mastery of sword flight to the teachers at the Super God Academy,” Jess said.
“Okay, don’t worry. I’ll ask him as soon as I get back!” Qilin replied.
“What do you mean? Is that person currently at your home?”
“Probably... yes. Is there a problem?”
At that moment, Qilin suddenly recalled that when Lin An invited her to the Super God Academy, he had come along too. They had left in such a hurry that they forgot him at home.
“This is bad. Rose and Zhao Xin have gone to your house to find you. Quickly contact them and tell them not to disturb the person at Qilin’s home!” Jess instructed the staff beside him.
“Teacher Jess, I estimate that they may have already arrived at Qilin’s house!” Ge Xiaolun suddenly said.
Jess naturally knew that if all went as expected, Rose and the others should have already reached Qilin’s home. But he still wanted to call and confirm their location. If they hadn’t arrived yet, they should come back immediately.
Jess’s intentions were good, but unfortunately, Rose and her group had not only arrived—they were much faster than he had imagined.
...
“Who are you? Qilin’s boyfriend? I don’t remember the records saying Qilin has a boyfriend, let alone one she’s living with!” Rose felt a surge of vigilance upon seeing a strange man open the door.
“I didn’t expect Qilin to be so open, bringing a man she’s known for only a few days back home!” Zhao Xin said in surprise.
“It’s not exactly living together. I just moved into Qilin’s house yesterday temporarily for a few days,” Lin An explained.
Suddenly, a ripple appeared in the space behind Lin An, and a figure emerged holding a dagger, aiming for the back of Lin An’s head.
But Lin An merely shifted his body slightly and calmly dodged the attack.
He then spun around swiftly, grabbed Rose’s hand, and a powerful pressure instantly overwhelmed her, rendering her unable to use her abilities.
It was Rose who had made the move. From the moment she first saw Lin An, she sensed a dangerous aura from him. That was why she acted as she did. If Lin An were just an ordinary person, she would have stopped in time at the last moment, but the outcome surprised her greatly.
This person’s strength was absolutely not to be underestimated.
Given such a dangerous individual, coupled with the fact that Qilin, who was supposed to report to the Super God Academy today, had not appeared, Rose couldn’t help but suspect that Qilin might have already met with misfortune.
“Zhao Xin, be careful of this man. He is extremely dangerous!” Rose said gravely.
“You need to escape here as fast as you can, return to the Super God Academy, and report what has happened here to the instructors,” she instructed.
Although she held little hope, without training, Zhao Xin wouldn’t be able to tap into his true potential. Moreover, even Rose was easily subdued by this man. With Zhao Xin’s limited power, he stood no chance.
Just as Rose finished speaking, Zhao Xin’s phone rang.
Feeling awkward, Zhao Xin glanced at Rose, then at Lin An, and finally at his phone, unsure of what to do first.
“Answer it!” Lin An said.
Noticing the caller ID was Ge Xiaolun, Lin An guessed that Qilin had already arrived at the Super God Academy.
“Hey, Xin, are you at Qilin’s house yet? If not, Jess wants you to hurry back. Qilin has already arrived at school!”
“Why didn’t you call sooner? Rose and I are already at Qilin’s house. The problem is, Rose is trapped by a mysterious man here, and she told me to run back to the Super God Academy first.”
“Uh... Teacher Jess, what should we do now?”
Ge Xiaolun’s call was on speakerphone, so Jess heard everything Zhao Xin said.
Jess then took the phone from Ge Xiaolun.
“You’re Lin An, right? Actually, Rose and the others came just to find out why Qilin hadn’t reported to the Super God Academy. Everything that happened was a misunderstanding. Please release Rose and Zhao Xin!” Jess pleaded.
“Agreed, but I also have a condition—I want to visit the Super God Academy,” Lin An said.
Jess was silent for a moment, then agreed to Lin An’s request.
After hanging up, Lin An released the restraint on Rose, who regained her freedom.
Rose glanced at Lin An and then took the lead, walking at the front.
With a special vehicle arranged, it wasn’t long before Lin An and the others arrived at the Super God Academy.
“So you are Lin An? Hello, I’m Jess, an instructor here at the Super God Academy,” Jess greeted Lin An proactively. Ge Xiaolun and the others also looked curiously at Lin An, surprised that the person who taught Qilin swordsmanship looked so young.
Ge Xiaolun even suspected that Lin An might be an ancient immortal being, certainly not as simple as he appeared.
“Hello.”
“What brings you to the Super God Academy, Mr. Lin?”
“Actually... I came mainly because I want to become an instructor here, to lead the students in facing the potential crises ahead,” Lin An said bluntly.
Lin An had thought carefully—only by getting involved with the students at the Super God Academy could he quietly transform them into members of the Hell Court.
Once they accepted Lin An’s gift, they would be tied to the Hell Court and thoroughly become its agents.
“I want to know what you can bring to the Super God Academy. Also... what is your true purpose?” Jess obviously doubted Lin An’s motives.
No one like Lin An had ever appeared on Earth before. Qilin, whom he had taught, had just unleashed sword energy with tremendous destructive power. Even ordinary demons would struggle to withstand such an attack.
According to Qilin, she had only spent a few days mastering it.
If that were really the case, then what was the point of the Super God Academy? They might as well have Lin An teach everyone such techniques to resist the aliens en masse.
