At last, the book is finally going on sale! Before the editor informed me, I still harbored a faint hope for a second round. Yet reality dealt me a heavy blow.

After receiving the editor’s notice, I made an appearance in the authors’ group, only to be met with unanimous advice to give up. Because, to be honest, there’s little hope left for this book.

With only ten thousand favorites and barely five hundred daily recommendations, it’s safe to say the book has flopped. As for subscriptions, I can’t imagine they’ll be any better.

I’ve felt down for a long while, and thought about it for just as long—even at this late hour, I’m still brooding over the book. But in the end, I’ve decided to keep writing.

Leaving aside the promises I made to readers before I started, I simply cannot abandon this book, not even in real life. From the beginning until now, I haven’t earned a cent, and life has been rather tough.

There’s not much more to say. When the book is officially launched tomorrow, I promise at least five chapters as a baseline. How much I can update after that depends on the final results.

Currently, there are eleven thousand favorites. Based on the subscription rate for QQ Reading—about one in a hundred—if the average subscription reaches one hundred and ten, I’ll add a chapter; for every fifty above that, I’ll add another, with no upper limit!

I know this is rather humble—other authors promise an extra chapter for every five hundred average subscriptions, but alas, I’m destined to be a struggling writer.

Here, I sincerely hope that all readers who have stuck with me so far will consider subscribing, so the results might look a little better.
