Chapter One Hundred and One: Departure from Sky City
Liu Feng saw what was happening and, with a swift movement, appeared before the young man in white. He pressed his right palm against the young man's back, letting golden true energy flow forth.
After a moment, the young man in white opened his eyes. He looked at Liu Feng, a hint of gratitude flickering in his gaze. Then, struggling, he stood up and walked toward the entrance of the inn.
"Friend, your injuries are still quite severe. It’s not wise for you to go out like this," Liu Feng said, concern evident in his voice as he watched the young man preparing to leave.
"I’m fine. I will remember your kindness in helping me," the young man replied. With resolute steps, he walked out of the "Good Luck Inn."
"You’ve repeatedly caused us trouble. Tell me, how do you think this matter should be resolved?" Zhao Jun asked, his expression dark as he stared at the fat and thin men.
At this moment, Sun Sheng and Feng Zhuo lay on the ground, gravely wounded, while the fat and thin men cowered in fear. They could hardly believe that their powerful brothers had been beaten so badly.
Hearing Zhao Jun’s cold words, their bodies trembled even more. In truth, they were nothing more than spoiled brats who had never seen the world.
"Big brother, please let me go. I swear I’ll never cause you trouble again," the fat man pleaded, his voice shaking.
"As long as you let me off, I’ll agree to anything you want," the thin man added in a begging tone.
"Letting you go isn’t so simple. If you don’t leave something behind, people like you will never learn your lesson," Zhao Bochao said coldly.
"We can’t let this escalate too much. Here’s the deal: cut off one of your own hands as punishment. If you come looking for trouble again, no one will be able to save you," Liu Feng said, his voice icy.
Hearing they had to cut off their own hand, the fat and thin men immediately turned pale, trembling violently.
"What’s wrong? Do you want me to do it for you?" Zhao Jun asked, his tone indifferent. "If I take action, it won’t be as simple as losing a hand." As he spoke, he drew a gleaming sword and prepared to strike at their arms.
"You’re ruthless. One day, I’ll repay this humiliation," the fat man thought to himself. Gritting his teeth, he severed his left hand with a dagger, letting out a blood-curdling scream. He then helped the gravely injured Sun Sheng out of the inn.
The thin man steeled himself and cut off his own left hand as well. After all, as long as he survived, there was still hope. He supported Feng Zhuo and left.
"Letting them go like this might bring even bigger trouble in the future," Zhao Bochao said, a hint of worry in his voice.
"Who cares? If they dare come again, I’ll make sure they never leave," Zhao Jun said viciously.
At that moment, the innkeeper emerged from a corner, his voice trembling, "Gentlemen, my little inn has been wrecked like this. You should compensate me for the damages."
Liu Feng glanced at the inn, which was on the verge of collapse, took out two gold ingots worth a hundred taels, and handed them to the innkeeper.
"Sir, you truly are a good man. With this money, I can refurbish my little inn," the innkeeper said gratefully.
Liu Feng said nothing more. He left with Zhao Jun and Zhao Bochao, heading toward Departure Heaven City.
Before long, the three arrived at the gates of Departure Heaven City. The guards searched them, and then they strode into the city.
"This place is so bustling! It’s much bigger than our Southern State City," Zhao Jun said, slightly astonished as he took in the architecture.
"Of course. Departure Heaven City is the capital of our Qingyu Nation, so it’s naturally bigger than Southern State City," Zhao Bochao replied matter-of-factly.
Liu Feng pondered, "With so many people, it must have something to do with the upcoming Four Nations Alliance Tournament."
"That’s right, I almost forgot about that," Zhao Jun said, slapping his forehead.
"We’d better find a place to stay first," Zhao Bochao suggested.
"Let’s go," Liu Feng replied. They asked passersby about the exact location of the Four Nations Alliance Tournament and decided to find accommodations nearby.
The three made their way toward the city center of Departure Heaven City, where the tournament would be held.
Near the city center, they found an inn called the "Departure Heaven Pavilion."
As Liu Feng entered the pavilion, he saw a bustling crowd, the atmosphere lively and vibrant.
A waiter approached, saying, "Gentlemen, you’re here to stay, right? I must say, your luck is excellent. There’s only one room left on the sixth floor. Any later and you’d have nowhere to stay."
"Oh, just one room left? Maybe we should look for another place," Zhao Jun said, frowning slightly.
The waiter smiled, "I’m not trying to scare you, but all the inns, taverns, and stations nearby are full. You probably won’t find a suitable place elsewhere."
Hearing this, Liu Feng said, "Fine, one room it is. It’s not like staying together is inconvenient for us."
Zhao Bochao agreed, "The waiter’s right. Because of the tournament, people have flocked here from all over, so everywhere is packed."
"Well, since you don’t mind sharing a room, neither do I," Zhao Jun said, dropping the matter.
They followed the waiter up to the sixth floor.
The waiter opened a room near the stairs, "Gentlemen, please come in."
The three entered, finding the room spacious, equipped with all sorts of new, gleaming facilities—everything looked brand new.
"Not bad. We’ll stay here," Liu Feng nodded to the waiter.
"If you’d like to dine, you can go to the first or second floor. I won’t disturb your rest," the waiter said before leaving.
The three examined the room’s layout and then sat down to rest.
After a while, Zhao Jun said, "Liu Feng, Bochao, we’ve been walking all morning. Aren’t you hungry?"
Liu Feng realized he was, after all, feeling a bit famished. "Let’s go downstairs for something to eat."
The three closed the door and headed to the second floor. There, they found the place already packed.
Liu Feng looked around and spotted a table with only a white-robed youth seated. He nudged Zhao Jun and Bochao, suggesting they sit there.
The three of them walked over and sat down across from the youth. Liu Feng spoke, "Brother, do you mind if we sit here?"
The youth glanced at Liu Feng, his expression indifferent, "Suit yourselves."
Zhao Jun called the waiter, "Bring us your best dishes, one of each."
The waiter acknowledged and went to the kitchen.
The three drank tea and waited for their food.
"Zhuo Hong, hand over the Gold Crystal Stone, or don’t blame us for being rough," a voice suddenly sounded beside their table.
