Chapter 115: The Land of Burial and the Great Void Technique

Chen Xing saw that this fellow dared not admit he was Duan De, and naturally understood the reason. He couldn’t help but smile inwardly. With Duan De’s current cultivation, it was already a miracle that he hadn’t been beaten to death—how could he possibly dare to acknowledge his identity?
Shaking his head, Chen Xing said, “You don’t need to be afraid. This isn’t the Void Technique, and we’re not from the Ji clan.”
“As for you digging up someone else’s ancestral grave, I won’t interfere. I just want to ask you a few questions. I hope you’ll answer honestly.”
Cold sweat broke out on Duan De’s forehead as he felt all his secrets seemingly laid bare by the one before him. Terror gripped him, and his fingers instinctively moved toward his waist.
“You don’t really think you can take us on with that broken lid of yours, do you?” Chen Mi beside him smirked, watching his hand move.
Startled, Duan De quickly withdrew his hand and forced a dry chuckle. “Not at all! I beg your pardon, senior. If you have questions, I will answer them all truthfully!”
Though his words were firm, a raging storm churned within his heart.
That item he carried was half of an imperial weapon! Forged from his past incarnation, a ruthless existence unrivaled by many. Though only half, it was no weaker than some lesser complete imperial weapons.
Now, the woman before him saw through it all, yet gave no sign of valuing this precious treasure—how could Duan De not be shocked?
“When did you come into this world in this life?” Chen Xing hesitated for a moment before asking.
Duan De stared blankly, scratching his head. “Senior, what do you mean? I don’t quite understand.”
Chen Xing smiled wryly. “Just tell me when you first became conscious in this life.”
Upon hearing this, Duan De jumped up and cursed loudly, “You have no idea how maddening this is! Over thirty years ago, some bastard knocked me out and buried me in the ground.”
“Being buried wouldn’t be so bad, but the worst part is that he knocked me senseless and caused me amnesia. To this day, I don’t even know who I am!”
“Because of this, I swore to spend my life digging up others’ ancestral graves! It’s better to kill mistakenly than to let go! One day, I believe I will dig up that bastard’s grave! Wouldn’t you agree, senior?”
Hearing Duan De’s tirade, Chen Xing and Chen Mi exchanged glances before bursting into laughter.
They had never expected that not only had this man failed to awaken memories of his past life—ignorant even that it was himself who had buried him in his previous incarnation—but he also thought someone had betrayed him to cause his amnesia!
Most amusingly, Duan De’s vow to dig up others’ ancestral graves was sparked by being buried alive himself.

Chen Xing and Chen Mi could hardly contain their laughter.
Duan De, feeling bewildered by their amusement, dared not ask why and could only force a sheepish smile, falling silent.
After a long while, the siblings finally regained composure. Chen Xing looked at Duan De and sighed, “It’s a shame you never wrote anything down.”
Duan De did not ask what writing meant; instead, he cautiously inquired, “Senior, do you have any other questions?”
“Do you still remember where the land that buried you is?” Chen Xing nodded and asked again.
Duan De gave a bitter smile and nodded. “I do, but it’s strange—once, when I passed by that place again, the land was gone. I don’t know what happened.”
Chen Xing nodded slightly. “Then just tell me the location.”
Eager to leave promptly, Duan De quickly gave Chen Xing the address. True to his word, Chen Xing waved his palm, and Duan De vanished from that space.
“Looks like you didn’t come just to find this Duan De, did you?” Chen Mi sneered.
Chen Xing smiled faintly. “I wanted to check on him—after all, he was once close to Shi Hao—and to ask about the burial ground.”
“Why are you looking for that burial site?” Chen Mi was puzzled. Though burial grounds were considered treasures in this realm, they were of little use to them.
“I have an old acquaintance buried there. I want to know the location first so I can visit him later,” Chen Xing said mysteriously.
Seeing Chen Xing’s secrecy, Chen Mi didn’t bother asking further and casually said, “What now?”
“Go home and spend time with the kids!” Chen Xing laughed heartily. In a flash, the two disappeared from that space.
Thus, the matter of the Demon Emperor’s tomb finally drew to a close.
No one saw the legendary human treasure; even the Demon Emperor’s heart and imperial weapons were taken by the descendants of the demon race!
Though the major powers of the Eastern Wilderness were unwilling, they were ultimately helpless.
Just as the turmoil settled and the Eastern Wilderness regained some calm, a shocking rumor spread throughout the land.
Someone claimed that when the Demon Emperor’s tomb was opened, they witnessed a person using the Ji clan’s Grand Void Technique! Moreover, this person swore that the user was definitely not from the Ji clan!

For a time, the major forces in the Eastern Wilderness were stunned. The Ji clan, as an ancient and prestigious family, had profound heritage—how could they allow their secret technique to be leaked?
The Ji clan head was furious and ordered a thorough investigation.
Countless Ji clan experts flooded the Eastern Wilderness, searching for the source of the rumor and the person said to have mastered the Void Technique.
The Ji clan understood that, for whatever reason, if someone had truly mastered their Void Technique, that person must die!
That was the rule—the Ji clan’s rule!
While the Ji clan searched relentlessly, Chen Xing was strolling the streets, holding two children in his arms.
Each child was held in one of Chen Xing’s arms, happily munching on candied hawthorns. Seeing their joyful faces, Chen Xing was filled with happiness.
Come to think of it, those two little ones were truly fated—they shared unusual origins, never grew up, didn’t cultivate, yet could live forever.
This troubled Chen Xing greatly. The little girl was one thing—after all, as the fruit of the Empress’s Dao, empowered by a fragment of his own rule power, she could become a prodigy if she wished.
But his precious daughter? Whenever anyone tried to teach her cultivation, she flatly refused—no persuasion worked.
Chen Xing had long been curious about his daughter’s true origins. Yet unless he fully broke her seal, even Chen Mi, a Chaos Sovereign, could not deduce her background.
Thinking of all this, Chen Xing shook his head with a bitter smile, unwilling to dwell on the past.
As the three passed by a tavern, a loud, coarse voice caught Chen Xing’s attention: “I’m telling you, this is something my friend saw with his own eyes. That person definitely used the Ji clan’s Grand Void Technique.”
As the crowd murmured, a guest suddenly asked, “Did the Ji clan catch this person yet?”
“Not yet. The Ji clan is practically frantic searching for them!” came the reply.
The tavern buzzed with excitement.
Passing by, Chen Xing overheard the conversation and paused, thinking to himself: Could it be Ye Fan? Has he already learned the Void Technique from Ji Ziyue?
