[Reboot Volume] Chapter 206: I Made the Headlines?
Morning, in the Radiant Wing Teaching Building.
Having finished breakfast, Mo Xing sat on a chair, watching all sorts of students enter the classroom.
This was his first theoretical class at the Holy Void Royal Academy. The seats here were arranged in rows, with everyone sitting scattered, somewhat similar to university classrooms.
Recalling this morning, under the guidance of that old man Mr. Shen, he had successfully released the Dragon God Power! But that guy didn't know where he had gone...
Who was Mr. Shen exactly?
He was definitely not a simple fellow...
He seemed to know quite a bit...
Perhaps he could help him unravel the secrets of this world?
“Cough, cough.”
Mo Xing heard the sound and looked over. At the classroom entrance stood a middle-aged man, holding two books, a drinking cup, and a ruler. A serious aura radiated from him, and the students who had been noisy just now immediately quieted down, sitting properly in their seats.
The middle-aged man placed the textbooks on the podium, glanced at the students below, turned to the blackboard, and wrote several large characters:
“Profession, Rank, Elements.”
“I am your class’s theoretical course tutor—Dragon Refining.” The middle-aged man paused. “Of course, you can also call me by my childhood name—Zuo Wu·Mi De Xiu Si·Long Lian.”
“Let's still honor you as Dragon Refining Teacher!” Someone below said, and other students greeted Dragon Refining one after another.
“Cough, cough, okay, let's begin class.” Dragon Refining Teacher took out a pair of glasses from his shirt pocket, put them on, raised the ruler in his hand, and pointed at the two characters “Profession” on the blackboard.
“Let’s first talk about profession selection. This is a problem that you new students will soon face.” The Dragon Refining Teacher paused. “According to the latest textbook, current professions are divided into five categories: Warrior, Archer, Mage, Holy Knight, and Shadow Assassin.”
Mo Xing thought to himself: Isn't this the profession in the game? The similarity is so high, interesting!
“Due to differences in weapons and properties, the Warrior category is further subdivided into Swordsman, Berserker, Magisword Master, and other professions; the Archer category is subdivided into Dual-Wield Guns, Archers, Gunner, etc.; the Mage category is subdivided into Element Mages, Summoners, etc.; the Holy Knight category is subdivided into Healers, Heavy Knights, etc.” Dragon Refining paused, then continued, “Um, that’s roughly it.”
“Dragon Refining Teacher, you seem to have missed the Shadow Assassin.” At this moment, Mo Xing raised his right hand to signal.
“Oh, right, this classmate’s reminder is good.” The Dragon Refining Teacher also realized he had omitted it.
“Shadow Assassin, this profession is relatively complex. Just from the weapons used, there are throwing daggers, knives, and various hidden weapons, which are common types of assassins; in addition, there are some special assassins who learn the attack methods of animals and wild beasts, which we call Illusion Assassins, also a type of Assassin branch.”
“Is he the Mo Xing from the news?” A boy not far away pointed at Mo Xing and asked quietly.
“Is it? It’s that Mo Xing with strength level zero?” The person next to him also looked over and whispered.
“Cough, cough.” The Dragon Refining Teacher on the podium coughed.
“Those two boys in the third row, please respect the classroom and don’t chat or be distracted.” The Dragon Refining Teacher knocked the podium with the ruler, “Otherwise, next time I’ll have you come to theory class dressed in women’s clothes.”
“Hahaha—”
Dragon Refining Teacher’s words caused the students to burst into laughter, and the two boys lowered their heads in embarrassment.
Mo Xing didn’t laugh, just stared at those two boys, feeling an ominous premonition in his heart.
“Okay, let me explain the strength level again.” The Dragon Refining Teacher knocked on the blackboard, “According to the new version of the textbook, the professional term for strength levels is Dragon God Power. Dragon God Power has five stages, from low to high: White Jade Rank, Green Wood Rank, Deep Blue Rank, Purple Cauldron Rank, and Dark Gold Rank.”
“Strictly speaking, the White Jade Rank is not a rank; it is specially set for people without Dragon God Power.”
“That Mo Xing should be a fool rank, haha.” The boy who had just been scolded whispered with a smile.
“Cough, cough, the boy in the third row, are you still laughing?” The Dragon Refining Teacher knocked the podium hard, “It seems you really are going to wear women’s clothes to class tomorrow.”
“Yes… sorry, Dragon Refining Teacher.” That boy quickly apologized, “I really made a mistake, I won’t do it again.”
“Hahaha—”
The students laughed again, suddenly Dragon Refining Teacher coughed twice, and everyone immediately quieted down again.
“Students, I want to emphasize here the classroom discipline. During class, I don’t hope you do things unrelated to the class, otherwise severe punishment! Understand? !!!”
“Understood!”
The students answered in unison. The theory class teacher was too strict, they didn’t dare to slack off at all.
“Okay, let’s continue teaching.” The Dragon Refining Teacher saw the students settle down somewhat and continued the lesson.
“Everyone present, when you reported yesterday, you should have done a Dragon God Power level test, and the water crystal ball showing the time was your Green Wood Rank level.”
“Besides the Green Wood Rank having sixty small ranks, the above three ranks each have only ten ranks. The higher the rank, the harder it is to improve, and even fewer people achieve it. Only reaching the Deep Blue Rank counts as true awakening.”
“Our school’s regulation article first chapter twelfth article requires: Dragon God Power at least level one of Deep Blue Rank to graduate.” Dragon Refining suddenly smiled, “If in the third year you’re still wandering in the Green Wood Rank, that is really wasting the school’s teaching resources. You shouldn’t know any such seniors, right?”
Mo Xing suddenly remembered that during yesterday’s test for the third-year Mian Hua, it seemed to be around 40+ Green Wood Rank, while his own zero Green Wood Rank didn’t even have the qualification to be mocked.
But he wouldn’t be discouraged because of it. He had promised Shi Yan that he would definitely pass the freshman assessment and definitely complete the counterattack!
“Students, the teacher’s throat is a bit dry, let me drink some water first, and we’ll continue explaining later.” With that, Dragon Refining opened the water cup beside him and took a few sips.
“Okay, let’s continue the lesson. Finally, we reach the most interesting part of this class—the elements. It is well known that after the ancient gods’ war, the power of the Dragon God spread throughout our land, that is, the five original elements: wind, fire, water, earth, and thunder, these are the initial elements.
“Modern scientists and historians have successively verified the existence of gold, wood elements, and this pair of twin elements light and darkness. Now, let’s explore the nine elements together—”
“Dong—Dong—”
The bell rang outside the window, and noisy voices came from the corridor outside. The students looked at Dragon Refining Teacher with wide eyes.
“Aiya, class is over so soon? Then I won’t drag on. Students, see you next theory class!”
As the voice fell, the students quickly got up to pack their things, and some of the quick ones had already run to the door.
The bustling scene made Mo Xing almost think he had returned to high school days.
Mo Xing packed his things and got up to leave.
Just as he took two steps out of the classroom, suddenly a group of people holding pens and notebooks surrounded him, and there were also a few people holding cameras. He was instantly dumbfounded.
“Hello, I am a reporter from Eavesdropping Weekly.” A blonde girl asked, “After you tested yesterday and learned you are zero level, what special feelings do you have?”
“Um…”
Suddenly, Mo Xing was blinded by the camera flash, so he quickly blinked his eyes.
“Hello, we are Path Talk Daily!” A bespectacled reporter waved his hand, “Do you have any special preparations for next week’s freshman assessment?”
“This… please make way.”
Dozens of reporters actually surrounded him more tightly, and Mo Xing couldn’t get out at all.
Click, the flash flashed again.
“We are Gossip News!” A fat man squeezed in from the crowd, “It’s said that you are in a romantic relationship with the vice president of the school student union, Shi Yan, is it true?”
Mo Xing was greatly shocked.
Holy shit, what the hell are you all doing?!!
“What are you all doing!”
A loud roar, and the reporters were all stunned. Mo Xing turned his head and saw Dragon Refining Teacher standing angrily behind him.
“You guys, chasing celebrities have some bottom line, okay?” Dragon Refining Teacher cursed, “Don’t all block the door! Don’t others need to enter or exit?”
“And you! Still holding a camera taking photos?” Dragon Refining Teacher fiercely pointed at a reporter, “Make way for me! At noon, don’t you need to eat? Are you going to cultivate immortality or take a leave?”
The reporters quickly made way for a “special passage,” letting Dragon Refining Teacher pass through.
Mo Xing was shocked, he didn’t expect Dragon Refining Teacher to be fiercer than in class. But now wasn’t the time to think about these things, but to take advantage of this good opportunity and run out.
As soon as Dragon Refining Teacher left, Mo Xing rushed out of the crowd. Except for a few reporters who were stopped by Dragon Refining Teacher to lecture, the other reporters chased after Mo Xing relentlessly.
Mo Xing thought, these reporters are just a bunch of wolves, and I am a fat tender little lamb being watched! Quickly come someone to help me out, I don’t want to play “the life and death escape of a little lamb”!
Mo Xing ran wildly to the first-floor lobby, where several people standing at the door were yawning, and one of them pointed at him and shouted:
“Aaaaaaaa, it’s Mo Xing! Chase!”
The others turned their heads, widened their eyes, and rushed over immediately.
The reporters from upstairs also ran down, and now Mo Xing was in a difficult situation!
Mo Xing thought, during class it’s a sacred place for learning knowledge, but after class it became a “market”? Selling gossip and headlines, two cents a piece of explosive news?
“Follow me!”
At the critical moment, Mo Xing was pulled by a fair white like jade little hand. Mo Xing looked over, and the other person was wearing a black cloak, wearing a black mask! And she was a girl! Under her long eyelashes, there was a pair of sparkling eyes.
“Who is the person next to Mo Xing?”
This suddenly appearing black-clothed person in broad daylight caused the reporters’ confusion.
Just as she glanced a light in her eyes, a strong wind blew from the bottom of her feet, bursting out a powerful airflow, and the reporters couldn’t stand still, all blown to the ground.
A fat reporter barely climbed up, and found that the black-clothed person and Mo Xing had both disappeared! The entire lobby was left with students who had come to watch the show and papers flying everywhere.
Author’s Note
I have returned again!
After waiting for so long, I still don’t have an idea to start new content, so I plan to revise from the beginning to find inspiration (mainly because of the summer training class, no time to write).
Supplement the content that was not added before, add a lot of details, perfect the entire story, there may be some repetitions, I hope everyone can include and support more.
