Rooftop terrace.

“Are you alright?” the girl asked.

“I… I’m okay. Just a bit dizzy,” Mo Xing replied, holding his head.

“That’s good.” The girl glanced at Mo Xing, hesitated, then continued, “I’ll be going now.”

“Wait!” Mo Xing called out to her.

“Hm?” The girl turned back.

“Thank you for saving me.” Mo Xing paused. “May I know your name?”

“No,” the girl answered coldly.

“Uh…” Mo Xing was taken aback.

“Mm,” she confirmed.

“I don’t mean anything else,” Mo Xing explained, “I just hope I can repay you someday.”

The girl looked into Mo Xing’s eyes but said nothing.

From her gaze, Mo Xing felt an unspoken aura emanating, making him uneasy.

“Call me Lemon,” she broke the silence.

“Le… Lemon?” Mo Xing asked, puzzled, “Isn’t that a fruit?”

“It’s also my code name,” Lemon replied.

“Code name? What does that mean?” Mo Xing asked, “You’re a student too, aren’t you?”

“Can’t you tell?” Lemon responded coolly.

“Honestly, I can’t.” Mo Xing paused. “With that cloak and mask, only your eyes and a bit of hair show—you’re completely covered.”

“You’re older than me, but your experience is lacking, not even as much as mine when I was seven.” Lemon shook her head.

“That’s rather harsh,” Mo Xing exclaimed, surprised.

“It’s not mockery—it’s for you to understand yourself.” Lemon pointed at Mo Xing. “You’re timid, lacking confidence. Fortunately, some people and events have helped you mature a bit.”

Mo Xing was shocked—Lemon seemed to see right through him. Was she reading minds?

“If you get the chance, join some student organizations. It’ll help you build courage and broaden your horizons.” Lemon turned away. Suddenly, a fierce wind swept through, forcing Mo Xing to close his eyes.

Two seconds later, the wind subsided.

Mo Xing opened his eyes and found Lemon gone. Staring at the azure sky, he smiled:

“So this is what strength looks like! I must strive to become someone like her, too.”

As Mo Xing was lost in his motivational thoughts, a sheet of paper suddenly slapped against his face, blocking his sight.

He pulled it off and saw it was an issue of “Rumor Weekly.” Looking down at the headline, he read:

“Shocking! Freshman of zero-level secretly rendezvouses with a beauty behind the mountain!”

Divine Luo Palace, Student Council office.

“This is outrageous!” Chen Anyi slammed the table after reading the paper, making the water in his cup tremble.

“And this part—‘The other party is the student council vice president?’ They even attached some blurry photos!”

As a student council officer, Chen Anyi was infuriated by this headline tarnishing the council’s reputation. More importantly, Shi Yan was his goddess, and this gossip rag dared to smear her name.

“These campus newspaper reporters have no professional ethics! How could they write such rubbish?” Chen Anyi cursed.

“Yes, it’s truly excessive,” Shi Yan said beside him. “But right now, what matters most is protecting Mo Xing.”

“According to the freshman class schedule, from two to five this afternoon, Mo Xing has practical training at Hades Trial Arena,” another council officer reported.

“Alright, any officers without classes this afternoon, go to the arena to guard Mo Xing,” Shi Yan instructed.

“Understood!” the officers replied in unison.

With the student council president away for training, Shi Yan, as vice president, was in charge of this week’s meetings and task assignments.

She had no idea who leaked Mo Xing’s zero-level status, but the campus newspaper had exploited it, dragging her and the council into the mess. It was truly outrageous!

This not only sullied her and the council’s reputation, but could also affect Mo Xing, who was about to take the freshman assessment.

“Wait—”

“Hades Training Arena?” Chen Anyi suddenly asked. “Who’s Mo Xing’s instructor for the practical class?”

“Oh, let me check—” The council officer looked through the documents, then raised his head. “Teacher Tianqi!”

2 p.m., Hades Training Arena.

Mo Xing, masked, looked around. The other freshmen chatted among themselves, paying him little attention. He let out a small breath.

“Hello, everyone! Long time no see!”

A familiar voice caught Mo Xing’s attention. Teacher Tianqi was approaching, accompanied by a student, waving to them.

“Wow! It’s Teacher Tianqi!”

“The teacher from the registration desk yesterday?”

“Yes, he’s handsome and his classes are fun.”

“No wonder he’s ranked among the top ten mentors on campus!”

Mo Xing watched the excited students, hoping Teacher Tianqi would focus on them and not recognize him—after all, he’d tested as zero-level Dragon God power right under the teacher’s nose.

“Though we’ve met before,” Teacher Tianqi smiled, “let me formally introduce myself. I am Yang Tianqi, your practical class instructor. You may call me Teacher Tianqi!”

As he finished, the students erupted in applause, and Mo Xing joined them.

“Also, this is your senior,” Teacher Tianqi said politely. “Chen Anyi, second year, Greenwood rank, level fifty-two gunner, assisting me with teaching.”

Another burst of applause followed. Chen Anyi clasped his hands in thanks.

This time, Mo Xing didn’t clap. He felt something was off, as this senior kept staring at him. Could he be a hidden reporter? Maybe after class, he’d summon his comrades to surround Mo Xing, making escape impossible.

“For the next few days of practical training, you’ll choose suitable weapons from the armory and familiarize yourselves with combat techniques,” Teacher Tianqi explained.

“Teacher Tianqi, where are our weapons?” a student asked.

“Weapons, hmm—” Teacher Tianqi smiled and snapped his fingers. “Please look up at the sky.”

The students looked up. A beam of light appeared, and various weapons slowly descended.

“Wow! Teacher Tianqi is incredible!”

“He can freely control so many weapons!”

“We’re lucky to be your students!”

“No need to envy—you’ll be able to do this someday.” Teacher Tianqi responded modestly to their admiration. “Now pick your weapons and find a spot to practice. Chen Anyi and I will give individual guidance later.”

“Alright!” the students responded energetically.

Mo Xing selected a few weapons and made his way to Training Ground Six.

He hefted a sharp broadsword, swinging it with all his strength at a nearby wooden dummy—only for the blade to get stuck.

“That’s odd. Why did that happen?” Mo Xing wondered.

“You don’t have enough strength, and your technique is wrong,” came a steady voice from behind.

Mo Xing turned and saw Senior Chen Anyi standing there.

“Ah… Hello, Senior Chen Anyi,” Mo Xing stammered.

“I’ve been standing behind you for quite some time, and you didn’t notice. You speak hesitantly—not decisive at all,” Chen Anyi continued. “You’re not suited to be an assassin.”

“I’ll try archery then.” Mo Xing picked up a bow, drew an arrow from the quiver, and aimed at the wooden dummy.

He drew the bow, gathered his strength, and released the arrow—it flew past the dummy, barely missing.

“Ah! Just missed!” Mo Xing drew another arrow. “Let me try again!”

“When you shoot, do you aim first or draw first?” Chen Anyi suddenly asked.

Another arrow whizzed past, missing again.

“Huh? Does it make a difference?” Mo Xing wondered. “Missed again—let me try one more time!”

“Don’t bother. You’re not suited to be an archer,” Chen Anyi added. “At such close range, you can’t even guarantee basic accuracy.”

“Alright.” Mo Xing looked at the dummy, three meters away, and realized Chen Anyi had a point.

“You’re not built for it, nor suited for heavy armor knight,” Chen Anyi continued.

“Yeah, I agree,” Mo Xing nodded.

“So quick to compromise with reality—seems you won’t be an outstanding healer either,” Chen Anyi pointed out, “and you even put your mask on backwards. That’s careless.”

“Ah?” Mo Xing hurriedly removed his mask and found it was indeed backwards.

“Masks are for those who need them,” Chen Anyi smiled. “Let me see your power, Mo Xing.”

“So, you know who I am, Senior?” Mo Xing realized he’d been exposed. After a brief silence, he laughed loudly, “What, do you look down on me as a zero-level freshman?”

Chen Anyi was stunned. In Mo Xing’s eyes flashed an unspoken aura of a king—like a long-slumbering lion suddenly awakened, fiercely driving intruders from its territory!

“No, I just wanted to see your power, so I can help guide you to the right career path,” Chen Anyi explained.

“My power? Then let me show you!”

Mo Xing stretched out his hand, fingers splayed. A flood of blue energy surged forth; nearby weapons seemed to be lifted by invisible hands, floating in midair.

“This…” Chen Anyi’s expression changed dramatically.

Mo Xing’s eyes glowed blue-violet. With a sweep of his hand, the airborne weapons flew at Chen Anyi!

“My path—I decide it!”

I’m back!

After waiting so long, I still haven’t found inspiration for new content, so I plan to revise the story from the beginning, hoping to find some. (Mainly because I have summer training classes and no time to write.)

I’ve filled in previously missing content, added many details, and improved the story overall. There may be some repetition; I hope you’ll forgive and continue to support me.
