Mo Xing swung his blade, channeling the power of the Water Dragon God within him, and slashed at the “weasel” before him.

“Cold Water—”

The blade traced a brilliant arc, its aura fused with the Dragon God’s power, instantly condensing into a sharp ice blade that sent the row of monsters flying.

The ice blade danced in midair, scattering a few thin blue-white snowflakes.

Mo Xing felt a slight tug in his left hand, as if a string of red thread was coiled around it. He instinctively drew his hand back, and the distant ice blade spun in a semi-circular arc back toward him, striking a “weasel” that had just risen from the ground for a second time, piercing its body and pinning it dead to the floor!

“Cold Water: Whirling Strike?!”

Mo Xing exclaimed in surprise; he had finally managed to unleash this move!

A new skill unlocked!

“Awooo—”

The unconscious “weasels” were not deterred; they lunged at Mo Xing with even fiercer aggression.

“Damn! So many weasels!” Mo Xing sucked in a cold breath. “Looks like it’s a fight to the death!”

Boom—

Before Mo Xing could act, several lightning-shaped missiles crashed down from above, blasting the “weasels” before him away. A blue shield appeared beside him, swirling with an array of particles of various sizes.

This... this is an Ion Shield?!

A Gunner’s skill?!

Mo Xing looked up and saw dozens of soldier-like reinforcements hovering in midair, each radiating different colored Dragon God Wings behind them, forming a dazzling rainbow.

At the center, a man held an exquisite heavy cannon in his left hand and saluted Mo Xing with his right.

Captain Huo!

“Sorry to keep you waiting, brother!” Captain Huo called out. “You’re not fighting alone! We’re here!”

“Mm.”

Mo Xing’s expression relaxed slightly.

The melee team members landed, wielding great swords as they rushed into battle against the mutated humanoid monsters; the ranged members positioned themselves in midair, targeting all active creatures; other members established a defensive line in the center of the casino hall, pursuing uninfected gamblers and wanted criminals.

Captain Huo stood at a vantage point, issuing orders to each squad through a device resembling a walkie-talkie.

The arrival of the Imperial City Special Police gave Mo Xing a measure of relief. He tightened his grip on the Frostless God and plunged back into combat.

Third floor of the underground casino.

This was the staff lounge and the offices of the upper management. The flowerpot by the translucent glass had been knocked over, papers scattered across the floor, the tea in cups still warm—those “behind-the-scenes bosses” had only just fled.

Mr. Shen strolled down the corridor, crystal bow in hand. In truth, he hadn’t meant to abandon Mo Xing.

First, the Imperial City Special Police had arrived on the scene; if he didn’t slip away now, things might get complicated, especially with Huo Tianying, Captain Huo—a formidable character.

Second, he had cast Guardian Arrow on Mo Xing, and that kid’s abilities were more than enough to handle those monsters. Besides, the special police had already arrived.

Third, there were crucial things on the casino’s third floor that he needed to check personally.

The door to the innermost office stood open, as if awaiting a distinguished guest.

“Oh?”

Mr. Shen smiled and stepped inside.

“You’ve finally arrived.”

A figure stood in the shadowed corner, watching the battle in the casino hall through the translucent window, a blood-filled goblet in hand.

“So it’s you, Lucifer.”

Mr. Shen recognized him; though the light was dim, he could sense that presence—an elder of the Kalentis Sect, born with an aura of arrogance, and also the initiator of the Seven Forbidden Drugs project.

“Old Sam, do you know the crime of betraying the sect?” Lucifer asked.

“Heh, and what of it?” Mr. Shen laughed—he was indeed Old Sam. “The sect constantly chases power; it’s honestly quite dull.”

“And you, traitor, dare speak so boldly?” Lucifer’s tone suddenly grew harsh. “The Water Dragon God’s power, hard-won by the sect, was stolen by you and infused into a mortal!”

“I do as I please!”

Mr. Shen drew his crystal bow, summoning a powerful gust of wind element and unleashed a Piercing Arrow at Lucifer!

Lucifer smiled slightly, transforming into a violet bolt of lightning and flashing behind Mr. Shen.

Lucifer’s hand morphed into a black claw, slashing toward him. Mr. Shen spun swiftly, releasing Wind Element: Domination to open distance.

“That’s your speed?”

Lucifer charged forward, a torrent of purple-black mist swirling, sending books and documents from nearby tables soaring into the air.

When the black claws stabbed at Mr. Shen, his body seemed to burst like a bubble.

An afterimage?!

Lucifer frowned, then turned back instantly as several green arrows flew toward him like a roaring lion!

Lucifer flicked his right hand, releasing three large black-red fireballs, destroying the arrows in midair.

“So you’ve mastered that move as well?” Lucifer smiled as Mr. Shen vanished into the room’s shadows.

The Hermit Technique!

A hidden skill that conceals the caster’s power and aura, granting near-perfect invisibility. Masters of this art can even fool the gaze of Purple Cauldron-level experts.

From a corner came a resonant clang—the cry of a weapon!

Suddenly, countless green arrows shot toward Lucifer from every direction.

The arrows glimmered like fragments of a shattered star river, dazzling and beautiful, each carrying the power to pierce an opponent’s soul!

“Damn it!”

A violent surge of black lightning erupted from Lucifer, shattering the window’s tempered glass, exploding the desk and chairs into fragments, filling the room with a raging electric field.

Mr. Shen was forced from the shadows by the thunderous black lightning; his suit’s upper half was shredded into waste paper, electricity crackling wildly across his muscles, blood swirling in midair, stimulating his nerves.

Casino hall.

“Cold Water: Whirling Strike!”

Mo Xing swung Frostless God, releasing a curved ice blade that spun through the air, repeatedly striking nearby monsters.

He was growing increasingly adept at this skill, wielding it like a boomerang—not only could it strike monsters back and forth, its damage was considerable. Most importantly, it was fun; he could use it to “pluck” fruit from trees in the future!

At present, he had mastered the ice element skills Pillar of Ice and Blade of Ice, as well as the cold water element skills Spiral Storm, Grip of Cold Water, and now this new skill Whirling Strike—a total of five skills! But all were minor or control skills; he wondered when he’d finally learn a powerful finishing move—

“Brother! Don’t get distracted!”

Captain Huo’s shout snapped Mo Xing back to attention, just as a monster at his feet was hammered ten meters away by Captain Huo’s heavy cannon.

“Captain Huo, you can use a cannon like that for melee?” Mo Xing exclaimed. Setting aside Huo’s immense strength, it was rare to see a ranged weapon used up close.

“I’m used to it—combining melee and ranged tactics. I boxed for a while back in the day!” Captain Huo laughed, unleashing Magnetic Storm to pull the monsters together, while other ranged members cast a huge blue net of special material to trap them.

“Incredible…” Mo Xing couldn’t help but marvel.

These Imperial City Special Police were a perfect team; in barely a minute, they subdued the monsters and apprehended the gambler criminals.

“What’s the situation in the third-floor office?” Captain Huo asked through his waist-mounted walkie-talkie.

“Reporting, Captain! There seems to be a powerful black current deep in the third-floor office—” came a reply.

“Black current?” Captain Huo frowned, a memory flashing through his mind. He shouted:

“Evacuate immediately!”

Zzz—static crackled from the walkie-talkie; the signal was cut!

Mo Xing saw Captain Huo’s agitation and was about to speculate on what had happened when a piercing screech erupted nearby—

Boom—

With a deafening crash, the third-floor outer walls crumbled, the entire space shook, fragments of concrete rained down like a meteor shower!

More accurately, it was a deadly “Mars crashing into Earth!”

“Activate barriers!” Captain Huo roared.

“Yes, sir!” The members activated radiant shields, forming a giant protective dome in the casino’s air, reminiscent of the goddess Nüwa patching the sky with multicolored stones.

Chunks of concrete hammered the shield, pelting it like a torrential downpour.

Had they been a moment later, those in the hall would have been struck—but thanks to Captain Huo’s timely order, they were spared.

Everyone turned to the shattered office walls on the third floor, from which burst a figure with silver-white hair and a crimson windbreaker, black electric currents flickering from his violet claws.

Hovering nearby was a battered figure clutching a green crystal bow. Mo Xing’s pupils dilated—the gravely wounded man was—

Mr. Shen!

The crystal bow trembled, emitting a dying wail. As the two figures collided, a massive green domain exploded from Mr. Shen, repelling the silver-haired man.

A green whirlwind swirled around Mr. Shen, his hair billowing, his suit torn open, grayish-blue scales covering his muscles, green light flaring in his eyes, fingers dancing across the strings as countless green arrows shot from the crystal bow.

The silver-haired man’s eyes snapped open, a black mark appearing on half his face, blinding violet lightning racing across the green domain. Two immense forces collided—endless light and heat, thunder and wind scattering in all directions, a thunderous crash echoing like the death knell of the world!

Those in the hall broke into a cold sweat at the sight. Mo Xing vaguely heard Captain Huo mutter beside him:

“The Seven Sins—Lucifer and Samael!”
